Lengo kuu la elimu ya vyuo vya ualimu vya elimu ya msingi ni kukuza ujuzi wa kinadharia na kiutekelezi wa kimsingi kuhusu taaluma ya ualimu, ili mielekeo na uwezo wa mwalimu ulengwe katika maadili ya kujitolea na umilisi katika taaluma hii. Mfululizo wa KLB’S DISTINCTION PTE umeandaliwa ili kutilia maanani lengo hili. Mtazamo unaozingatiwa unatambua ukweli kwamba mwanafunzi wa shule ya msingi ni muhimu sana katika elimu ya vyuo vya ualimu vya elimu ya msingi. Dhamira ya mfululizo huu ni kuendeleza uelewa na ujuzi kwa kila mkufunzi-mwalimu wa shule ya msingi ili aweze kufaulu kielimu.DISTINCTION KISWAHILI for PTE ni kitabu kinachotimiza mahitaji ya silabasi mpya ya Kiswahili kwa vyuo vya ualimu vya elimu ya msingi. Kinamboresha mwalimu kwa kumpa mbinu mwafaka za kufunzia stadi zote za lugha—Kusikiliza na Kuongea; Kusoma na Kuandika. Nyanja zingine zinazoshughulikiwa ni kama vile: Historia ya Kiswahili, Fasihi, ikiwemo fasihi ya watoto, Msamiati wa Masuala ibuka, Mbinu za kufundishia Kiswahili, Matayarisho kwa mwalimu na Jinsi ya kutathmini wanafunzi.Mazoezi kemkem yametolewa baada ya kila funzo, na sampuli za mitihani ya Vyuo vya Ualimu vya elimu ya msingi mwishoni mwa kitabu. Haya yatamwezesha mkufunzi kujizatiti vilivyo katika kukabiliana na mtihani wa vyuo vya ualimu vya elimu ya msingi, na baadaye katika kazi yake ya ualimu hasa katika ufundishaji wa Kiswahili. Kitabu hiki ni muhimu pia kwa walimu walio nyanjani na wote wanaonuia kuendelea na elimu ya juu katika somo la Kiswahili. Vilevile kitawafaa wanafunzi, walimu na wasomi wa Kiswahili katika vyuo vikuu na taasisi nyinginezo. -
