    Kurunzi ya Insha: Kidato cha I na 2, kimezingatia tungo zote za ubunifu/kawaida na za kiuamilifu zilizomo kwenye silabasi ya Kiswahili, kidato cha kwanza na pili. Kinawapa wanafunzi mwangaza na ustadi kamili kuhusu uandishi wa tungo hizi kwa kutilia mkazo masharti ya karatasi ya insha katika mtihani wa KCSE. Chapisho hili ni kito kwa mwanafunzi anayetafuta alama ‘A’ katika mtihani. Mwalimu amepewa dira ya kufundishia na kutathminia uwezo wa wanafunzi wake katika uandishi wa insha.
    Yaliyomo kitabuni:
    • Kitabu hiki kina sura tatu kuu zinazoangazia tungo zote zinazofaa kushughulikiwa katika kidato cha kwanza na pili.
    • Sura ya kwanza inaangazia mambo ya jumla ambayo ni lazima mwanafunzi ayazingatie anapoandika insha yoyote. Mambo haya pia ndiyo huzingatiwa na mwalimu anapofundisha darasani. Vilevile, mambo haya ndiyo dira ya kusahihisha insha katika mtihani wa KCSE. Dhamira ya sura hii ni kumsaidia mwanafunzi kutambua makosa ambayo aghalabu humbomoa na kumpunguzia alama.
    • Sura ya pili inashughulikia insha za kubuni/kawaida. Hizi ni insha zinazotathmini

    • Makosa ya kawaida yanayofanywa na watahiniwa wanapoandika insha yametajwa ili kuwatahadharisha waepukane nayo.
    • Upekee wa kitabu hiki ni kuwepo kwa mifano miwili miwili ya insha zilizoandikwa na waandishi wa kitabu hiki. Pia, mifano mitatu mitatu ya insha zilizoandikwa na wanafunzi wa kidato cha l na 2, katika mazingira ya mtihani, kutoka shule mbalimbali nchini imeambatishwa. Insha hizi zimesahihishwa na watahini wa kiwango cha kitaifa kulingana na utaratibu unaozingatiwa katika kusahihisha mitihani ya KCSE. Maoni kuhusu jinsi ya kuziimarisha yametolewa.
    • Zoezi limetolewa baada ya kila utungo ili mwalimu na mwanafunzi waweze kulitumia kufanyia mazoezi darasani. Vielelezo vya mtihani wa insha wa KCSE vimetolewa ili mwanafunzi apate taswira kamili ya jinsi mtihani wa insha unavyoandaliwa na pia ajiandae kuukabili.
