Some men are born unlucky. They never rise to the occasion — not even when a woman is within two inches of them! In the case of Sam Njogu, a medical doctor, his problem cannot be cured by civilised medicine. He has to resort finally to concoctions of rhino horn, and what have you. And this bush medicine works — to the extent that he even uppears in court on a charge of rape. But in his attempt to get this life-giving medicine, Njogu risks his professional status by allowing himself to be blackmailed into giving a false report to the police concerning the death of a one-day-old baby at the Smiles Maternity Home owned by – his friend Dr Alex Wanjau.
